Shipping Pump Packer
The shipping packer position is responsible for picking and locating product and preparing it for shipping both nationally and internationally by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. This position is primarily responsible for the packaging of domestic motor freight units.

1. Operates the stretch wrap banders.
2. Packs, examines, and routes outgoing shipments to customers.
3. Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
4. Performs all computer functions necessary to complete shipping process.
5. Supports the shipment of goods produced.
6. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department foreman.
7. Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
8. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to vibration and noise levels. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Shop conditions consist of dirt/dust.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position with overtime. Expected to work 40-60 hours a week.
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
This is an entry level position.
Responsible for packing pumps, motors, and units needed to be shipped to customers. This includes, but is not limited to, taking direction from floor lead and/or foreman in order to fill/complete orders and making sure all pumps/motors are packed securely to meet customer and Permco quality standards. Must be able to read and interpret order pick list. Must be able to locate parts needed to be shipped to customers.
Responsible for minimizing errors and completing orders to highest accuracy, once trained.
Responsible for using technology (computers, scanners, hardware/software, etc.) for shipping/warehouse operations.
Responsible for communicating with manager, floor lead, and other employees regarding customer orders.
Required to properly complete paperwork for orders and turn in to manager for final review, before completion of shipment.
Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
