The porting parts cleaner performs duties involving the complete and proper cleaning of parts, after they have been properly ported.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration and noise levels. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Shop conditions consist of dirt/dust.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or tools. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position with overtime. Expected to work 40-60 hours a week.
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
This is an entry level position.

Responsible for cleaning parts after they have been ported. This includes deburring, stoning, soaking, and drying parts. Must keep track of constant growing workload, while maintaining quality of work. Responsible for visually inspecting parts to confirm no errors and quantity is correct. Responsible for organizing material after cleaning process is complete. Must have knowledge of water temperature needed to complete cleaning process.
Communicate with foreman and/or floor lead regarding any issues or concerns with daily work.
Responsible for keeping work area clean. This includes keeping tank clean.
Responsible for maintenance of hand tools needed for cleaning process and and keeping work area stocked with tools needed for cleaning process.
Responsible for wrapping parts needed for outside orders.
