The porting specialist performs duties involving the complete and proper porting of parts.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration and noise levels. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Shop conditions consist of dirt/dust.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or tools. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position with overtime. Expected to work 40-60 hours a week.
No travel is expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
This is an entry level position.
Responsible for the proper porting of parts. This includes making sure parts are correct and quantity of parts are correct, prior to porting process. Must keep track of constant growing workload, while maintaining quality of work. Responsible for visually inspecting all tooling to make sure it is in proper working condition.
Must be able to operate multiple machines simultaneously. Must check and make sure machines are working properly prior to use. Responsible for overall machine maintenance.
Communicate with foreman and/or floor lead regarding priority orders and porting process.
Responsible for keeping work area clean.
This is an entry level porting position. The qualified individual assigned to this position, will go through training to learn to perform the job at a satisfactory level.
