Parts Puller

This position locates and distributes parts within the warehouse and assembly departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to vibration and noise levels. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Shop conditions consist of dirt/dust.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full time position with overtime. Expected to work 40-60 hours a week.

No travel is expected for this position.

Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
This is an entry level position.

Job Description:
Responsible for locating and pulling parts needed to fill orders. Responsible for checking part locations on computer software system to determine if parts are available to fill orders. Responsible for locating order sheets and able to properly read/interpret what is needed to complete orders. Must monitor shelf locations to see if parts are available. Responsible for consolidating parts/orders on wagons. Responsible for maintaining shelf appearance.

Must communicate with foreman and floor lead on parts needed to fill orders. Must communicate with warehouse foreman and personnel on parts availability. Must communicate with sub assemblers on parts needed and/or incorrect parts.

Responsible for keeping work area clean.
